For Careers Scotland delivered revised website structure based on customer needs. Used customer research to identify top tasks of Careers Scotland’s customers and aligned website design to these.

I am expert at quicklly asssesing businesses identifying the places where technology can help and documenting clear plans to address these issues.

Consultant on the Invest NI ebusiness programme. Identifying and delivering web business solutions SME in Northern Ireland. Craigavon Borough Council ebusiness programme focused on helping micro business invest in IT successfully, advised 13 firms and guided 10 through technology investment projects. Director of Armagh City and District Councils A-connect programme worked with 12 local firms to identify technology projects and plan their implementation. Tradelinks programme assessor and adviser on the Tradelinks programme both 1 and 2, currently working with more than 20 firms at assessment or project stage in the programme

Created and delivered on-line and in person training on web content management, web writing, developing business case for web content, website metrics and measuring website success.

I work on new technologies and digital inclusion managing projects for the Delivery and Innovation Division of the Department Finance and Personnel. Some of these are on web content management and some are on using new technologies in government. Projects include
 
Ulster Mediascapes – Currently working with HP labs using their Mediascapes tool to introduce location aware computing to schools and NI government departments.
MyGroup NI  – Creating a network of micro websites to support digitally excluded community groups

E-learning
I worked in training and development in my early career and developed expertise in e-learning working with Invest NI ebusiness programme as an advisor. Specific skills in this area include learning needs analysis and learning materials design.
 
Background
I began my career in the National Health Service as a learning and development professional. My experience there supporting the introduction of new technologies led me to an MSc course in Information management and into Consultancy with Cap Gemini and then with Vision Consulting. In 2003 I set up my own business focusing on helping clients create business value from the web.
